Context & Research
The inspiration for this project camefrom personal experience. I have been fighting scoliosis for many years, from a teenager to an adult. Scoliosis is a relatively vague area of medical exploration, and doctors have different professional levels, easily misleading patients. For adults within moderate scoliosis, the medical field can hardly provide any clear help, and the efficacy of physical exercise cannot be confirmed. Adults who do not know the future and do not know the direction within moderate scoliosis are in an awkward situation.

I want to help.
Testing & Design
Scoliosis generally manifests as a "C" or "S" shape. According to research, the left and right trapezius, latissimus dorsi, lumbar erector spinae and thoracicerector spinae are muscles that can be detected andare affected by scoliosis.

The EMG sensor monitors themuscle status by acquiring theelectrical signal of the muscle. The functional prototype is composed of EMG sensorand vibration sensor, and the test object is the lefttrapezius muscle. The vibration module will be activated When the force of the trapezius muscle exceeds a certainvalue. The purpose is to remind the user to adjust the posture when the difference in muscle strength between the left and right sides exceeds the normal state value.
